Rotorua Trip - 3 Days
We’re out of here! The Rimutaka Incline here we come! 2 days of riding bikes, 1 night camping, carrying all our own gear and tons of fun! Check out Rimutaka Cycle Trail for a better idea of the trails.
Prerequisites for ALL overnight trips:
-Intermediate skill/fitness
-Must have been to a WORD after school programme or day camp before
Day 1
Train: Wellington to Upper Hutt 9am
Ride: Upper Hutt to Maymorn to Cross Creek (35km)
Camp: Cross Creek
Day 2
Ride: Cross Creek to Featherston (9km off-road limestone path)
Train to Waterloo, 11am (arrive at 11.45am)
Ride Waterloo to Days Bay (9km on cycleway)
Lunch in Days Bay!
3.15pm Ferry from Days Bay to Wellington(arriving in Wellington, 4pm)
Cost: $225 for the 2 day camp.
Cost includes:
-Train to Upper Hutt
-2 nights camping
-All food and snacks
-Ferry to Days Bay
-2 amazing WORD Instructors (1:5 ratio)

Pre Trip Meeting- October 2020
A couple weeks before the trip, we’ll meet up to answer all your questions. Kids and their whanau are invited to join us to get to know each other and talk all about what to bring and how to pack.
