The WORD Instructors are the best! These are the folks that instruct our after school programmes and camps. As an instructor, you will be paid for teaching kids how to be good riders and good people. MTB skills, trail building, bike maintenance, and teamwork are all part of the job. You don’t need to be an amazing rider, but you do need to be stoked about helping kids enjoy it just as much as you do.
Experience working with kids (coaching/teaching)
MTB Coaching/Instructing certification
First aid certification
At least 2 years MTB experience (Intermediate/Advanced MTB skills)
Passion for riding and instructing
16 years and older

WORD Assistant Instructors (now accepting applications for the Summer season- February-April 2017)
These assistant instructors will assist Lead Instructors in the after school mountain biking programmes. The Assistant Instructor position is a volunteer spot…and can be used as credits for Duke of Edinburgh award and/or school volunteer hours. WORD Assistant Instructors will attend a one day training on 28 January 2017 to get skilled up with instructing. Those that Instructor for 2 terms (Term 4 and 1) will be invited to the WORD Thank you Trip down south in April!
-Participated in a WORD after school programme or holiday camp (if currently under 18 years old)
-Intermediate-Advanced MTB Skills level
-14 years and older
-Passion for helping others enjoy riding!
